Climate and Environment

Occupational Health and Safety

Employees & Social

Sustainable Purchasing

Human Rights

Compliance & Ethics

Sustainable Products

Sustainable Financing

Climate and Environment

With energy-efficient and environmentally friendly processes, MAHLE contributes to the SDGs "Clean Water and Sanitation" (SDG 6), "Affordable and Clean Energy" (SDG 7), "Sustainable Consumption and Production" (SDG 12), and "Climate Action" (SDG 13).

Occupational Health and Safety

We act in accordance with the applicable standards regarding health, safety at work and environmental protection. Regular training sessions and instructions are designed to prevent accidents and minimize risks. All this shall help to achieve the SDGs "Good Health and Wellbeing" (SDG 3).

Employees & Social

As a foundation-owned company, we have a unique responsibility towards our employees. They are our most valuable resource. Our activities contribute to the SDGs “Gender Equality” (SDG 5), “Decent Work and Economic Growth” (SDG 8) and “Reduced Inequalities” (SDG 10).

Sustainable Purchasing

For us, it has always been clear that we are responsible for our supply chain. Recent developments in customer requests regarding conflict minerals and the new German Supply Chain Act have further confirmed our understanding of responsibility. Therefore, the prerequisite to conduct business with MAHLE remains unchanged: full compliance with our sustainability requirements.

Human Rights

We believe that upholding human rights, i.e., combating child and forced labor, are self-evident principles contributing to the SDG “Decent Work and Economic Growth” (SDG 8). We have set up a cross-functional working group on human rights including representatives from HR, Purchasing, Sustainability & HSE, Compliance and Risk Management.

Compliance & Ethics

Responsible business behavior means complying with laws and internal rules as well as ensuring fair competition. Therefore, compliance has always been an important element of our corporate governance. At Group level, we ensure that our conduct and actions adhere to laws and internal rules by means of the MAHLE compliance structure.

Sustainable Products

Based on our vision “We Shape Future Mobility” and our mission “Efficiency in Motion”, MAHLE is working on the climate-neutral mobility of tomorrow that contribute to the SDGs "Responsible Consumption and Production" (SDG 12) and "Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure" (SDG 9).

Sustainable Financing

MAHLE integrates sustainability aspects in financing which supports investments in projects that have a positive impact on the environment and thus, help to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement as well as the UN SDGs.
